The results of 12 months research of Federal Government agencies found that 22% of decision makers changed job role or left the Federal agency. The research was based on interviews with 4,019 contacts in 331 federal agencies which were contacted between September 2016 and 2017 as part of the A-ZGovBIZ annual public sector research program.

This 22% average was on par with the previous year - the surprise came when we looked at the top five job functions which experienced the highest level of churn:

39% of Service Delivery Managers changed role or left the Federal agency

38% of Projects Managers changed role or left the Federal agency

31% of Business / Corporate Service Managers changed role or left the Federal agency

27% of Procurement Managers changed role or left the Federal agency

27% of middle or senior Management changed role or left the Federal agency
